      ROCKHAMPTON, February 7.

Our Capella correspondent writes: ?A very pretty wedding was celebrated at the Church of Holy Spirit, Capella, by the Rev. G. E. Wheeler, rector of All Saint's Church, Clermont. The contracting parties were Bertha Elizabeth, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Stevens, and Arthur Rudolph, second youngest son of Mr. H. Devantier and the late Mrs. Devantier, of Red Gate, Murgon. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, who gave her away, and the hymn, "Lead Us Heavenly Father," as sung by the congregation. She looked charming in a white mariette frock, with Chantilly lace inlet in the sleeveless bodice in scallops, and with diamante trimming studdedround the neck. The skirt was composed of Chantilly lace with scallops of mariette and a circle of orange blossoms on the left side of skirt. The belt was held in position with a diamante buckle. She wore a lovely wreath and veil (lent by Mrs. Geaghan, a friend of the bride), arranged in the mob cap effect and studded across the front with seeded pearls, which were continued and held in position under the chin. She carried a beautiful bouquet of stephanotis and lilies of the valley veiled in tulle and tied with tulle streamers. She was attended by her sister, Miss Cloddie, as bridesmaid, who wore a frock of pink crepe de Chine, with a bodice inlet with a yoke of silk lace and six frills of silk lace on the skirt. She carried a bouquet of bebe roses veiled in tulle and tied with streamers of tulle. Mr. K. Conway was bestman. As the bridal party were leaving the church Mrs. F. Webb played the Wedding March. The bridal party afterwards adjourned to the Commercial Hotel, where the wedding breakfast was held. The room was tastefully decorated with pink and white streamers and a beautiful wedding bell was suspended over the bridal couple. The usual toasts were honoured. The presents were numerous and costly. The bride's travelling dress was of blue crepe de Chine; she also wore a mastic hat. The honeymoon will be spent in Brisbane, Coolangatta and Murgon.
